Multi-Chem is in the business of (i) supplying specialty chemicals and other PCB-related products; and (ii) providing precision drilling services to PCB fabricators. These PCB fabricators, in turn, supply Printed Circuit Boards to manufacturers in different sub sectors of the electronics industry. Specifically, due to the product lines of Multi-Chem's major customers, our performance is likely to be tied to the growth of the IT (including networking), telecommunications, automotive electronics and healthcare industries.
Because of growing use of miniaturisation technology, there is an increasing demand for micro via high-density interconnect PCB, which requires substantially more precision drilling than conventional multi-layered PCB. However, as precision drilling operations are capital-intensive, PCB fabricators are increasingly outsourcing this aspect of PCB production to specialists like Multi-Chem. In doing so, PCB fabricators will benefit from increased productivity and production capacity and shorten their production and delivery cycle. This trend of outsourcing is expected to benefit Multi-Chem.
